My Eyesight Epiphany

When I was just 11 years old my mother took me to an eye doctor, who diagnosed me with short-sightedness. Later on in life I went on to get irregular astigmatism, which meant that I could no longer rely on glasses, and had to wear contacts.

The idea that we can fix our own vision conflicts with everything we’ve ever been told by eye doctors – and our own experience of wearing glasses all these years.
